Other Rod Carriers Not As Good Quality

When I say I have been put through the wringer when it comes to fly fishing rod carriers, I definitely mean that. I have tried many, only to be disappointed over and over. I can’t even tell you how many carriers I’ve sent back to the manufacturer. I’m not a difficult person to please, but if I’m paying a decent chunk of money, I expect good quality. I just wasn’t finding it.

I thought all hope was lost until a buddy of mine said that he just bought a new rod carrier and that I had to see it. I was hopeful, but I didn’t want to get too excited only to be disappointed again. Surprisingly, I was pretty impressed with what I saw.

My friend had ordered the Riversmith River Quiver Rod Carrier from Trouts Fly Fishing. He purchased the 2 banger because he typically does his fishing on his own. The quality was amazing. It was secure with a locking mechanism, lined on the inside and it was mounted perfectly so it didn’t budge an inch.

I went back home to sit down and see how others felt about this rod carrier. While I trusted my friend, I wanted to see if there were many other issues that people were having. What I found made me happy.

I couldn’t find anything less than 4 stars. Any issues anyone had were minor, which was awesome. With most products, there were people who didn’t recommend them at all, but it looked like everyone who purchased this product highly recommended it. I was sold.

I ordered the 4 banger because I like to take 2 rods with me and sometimes a friend would tag along on my fishing excursions. I finally had high hopes for a rod carrier. It is more than delivered.

The installation was basically nothing. It took me about 15 minutes tops. I got my rods ready and loaded them into the carrier just to take a test drive to see how everything went. I made sure to find some uneven and bumpy terrain to go on, just to up the challenge. I had zero issues at all.

I had finally found my holy grail of fly fishing rod carriers. I’ve been using it for a few months now, and every experience is as good as the last. With all the past issues, I’m still surprised that I found this and that it’s such a great product.

I’ve recommended it to all of my friends and family who go fly fishing. They’re initially surprised that I’m so enthusiastic about a rod carrier, just because it took me so long to find the right one. A few of them have purchased one themselves.

I’m not easy to impress but I am definitely impressed by this. I’m glad I found such a high quality product to carry my precious fly fishing rods. I look forward to using it for many years.
