Pope Benedict XVI is suspected to visit Britain next month. The pope is invited by her majesty the Queen. The three large public gatherings will take place at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, Hyde Park in London and Cofton Park in Birmingham. During his four day stay, from 16th to 19th of September, thousands of people are expected to visit him. These pilgrims are informed with a long list of instructions while visiting the pope.

Pilgrims are forbidden to bring animals and candles. The other things which are not allowed are alcohol, gazebos, canopies and barbecues. What people can bring includes banners and torches. Flags, cushions and small folding chairs are also accepted. People are advised to bring goods for all weather conditions, rain wear to sustain in the rainy conditions and summer wear for the sunny days.  Moreover other essentials like hats, caps, clothes to cover up and sun cream.

John Henry Cardinal Newman will be beatified by Pope Benedict XVI in the Archdiocese of Birmingham on 19 September 2010. This great Victorian Catholic theologian, loved the world over, will be affirmed “Blessed”. The Pope will also meet with politicians including Nick Clegg and Harriet Harman. The long list of advices is issued by the church to make the visit of the pilgrims totally organized and comfortable.
